The Serpent Anatomized: A Moral Discourse Wherein that Foul Serpentine Vice of Base Creeping Flattery is Manifestly Discovered and Justly Reproved
By: Sutton, Edward
1626. This work is a needful caution for the credulous, and very useful for these times. While Mr. Sutton took some pains in anatomizing this monster, he found the serpent’s heart such an intricate labyrinth, so full of angles, by-passages and cross-conveyances, that Sutton almost lost himself in seeking out the center. Due to the age and scarcity of the original we reproduced, some pages may be spotty, faded or difficult to read. Written in Old English.
